Rich Crandall is the former Director of the Wyoming Education Department. In 2013, the governor of Wyoming appointed Crandall Director after a nation-wide search for a candidate to fill the new position. Crandall, in his time in the position handled the appropriation of the state-wide education budget and started a task force to overhaul the state's special education system to accommodate some of the children in the educational system who need it the most.

Rich Crandall is the Chairman of the Board and CEO for Child Nutrition Resource (CN Resource), a consulting firm working directly with state agencies and districts to develop nutrition plans for children attending public schools in accordance with state and federal school nutrition regulations. He earned his post as chairman through years of experience in education policy, nutrition, and business management. CN Resource creates the best nutritional options for schoolchildren based on what Crandall knows kids need when they go to school. Children can only learn when they have enough to eat every day. Well-fed brains work better than brains only thinking about how hungry the stomach is.
Rich Crandall is a former Arizona state senator and representative. In 2011, he was elected to the state senate eventually chaired the Transportation Committee and the Education Committee in addition to sitting on the Appropriations Committee, the Public Health and Safety Committee, Joint Legislative Audit Committee and Joint Committee on Capital Review. In 2007, he won election to the Arizona State House of Representatives where he chaired the Education Committee, and served as Vice Chair on the Commerce Committee.
Rich Crandall became an expert on nutrition from his mother, Linda. Linda Crandall founded her nutritional consulting firm Crandall Corporate Dietitians in 1966. Today CCD is the nation’s largest consulting dietitian firm. The company still retains clients from decades ago, and helps develop policies and procedures for long-term care and assisted living facilities throughout the country. Crandall says that he owes all of his success in the private and public sphere to his mother, who taught him how to run a business when he was very young.

Rich Crandall is the Chief Financial Officer and partner of Crandall Corporate Dietitians, a company founded by his mother in 1966 to consult with nursing homes, Assisted Living facilities, and other Long-Term Care centers. Over the course of almost fifty years, Linda Crandall, Rich’s mother, has expanded her business to 44 states and partnered with her son, a CPA with an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, to handle the finances, marketing strategy, and technology development for the company. Crandall’s mission hasn’t changed in 49 years: to deliver excellent service to her clients with loyalty and integrity as the cornerstones of her relationships with clients and of her business as a whole.

Rich Crandall is anexpert with Federal child nutrition programs with years of administration experience. He has served in the Arizona state legislature in both houses. He was the Chairman of the Education Committee while in the state legislature, in charge of legislation affecting Arizona’s colleges, universities, and K-12 schools. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, where he won the prestigious Notre Dame Business Plan Competition for a proposal for a business that eventually became Child Nutrition Resource (CN Resource), a company for which he currently serves as the CEO/Chairman of the Board.
